Hi my name is Augie Johnston and I once had a dream that I thought would never come true.  I dreamed of getting paid to play basketball.  In high school I didn’t put up big numbers and was probably the most unselfish player that ever existed.  I was a true team player.  This was great for our team as we were very good, but bad when it came to getting recruited to college.  I walked on at a NCAA division 2 school called Cal St. Monterey Bay, where I later earned a scholarship, became team captain, and had a very good career.

That wasn’t enough for me though.  I wanted to continue to play this game I loved at a high level and didn’t want to have just some normal day to day job.  Well believe me, if your not some big name D1 player you need to know how get your name out there.  I figured it out.  I was able to get enough exposure and connections to where I landed my first job.  I admit it was not as glamorous as I had thought and dreamed of but it was a foot in the door and that’s all it took.  I started in the 5th league of Germany and now have worked my way up to the 3rd league called the ProB which is very respected league here in Germany.

Anyways, my friends always were asking me for help on where to start and how to make it happen for them so I decided to make this to help others becuase I knew if my friends had questions so do other people.  I worked really hard on this and hope that it helps you find a job.
